My friends say I should act my age what's my age again? What's my age again? [00:01:54] But later on on the drive home I called her mom from a pay phone I said I was the cops and your husband's in jail the state looks down on soda me and that's about the time that they chung up on me nobody likes you when you're 23 I'm in the business of misery let's take it from the top she's got a body like an hourglass ticking like a clock it's a matter of time before we all run out when I thought he was mine she caught him by the mouth I waited a long while she finally set him free I told him I couldn't lie he was the only one for me two weeks we caught on fire get it out for me but I wear the biggest smile whoa, whatever makes it break but I got him where I want him now wow. It was never my intention to break stealing all away from you now but God doesn't feel so good cause I got it when I want him now and if you're good then you know you would he was a boy, she was a girl can I make it any more obvious? [00:03:31] He was a punk, she did ballet what more can I say? [00:03:38] He wanted her, she'd never tell secretly she wanted him as well all other friends stuck up their nose and they had a problem with his baggy clothes he was a skater boy she said see ya later, boy he wasn't good enough for her she had a pretty face but her hair was off his face she needed to come back down to us paper bags and plastic hearts all our belongings and shopping carts goodbye but we got one more night let's get drunk and ride around and make peace with an empty town. We can make it rise. [00:04:39] Everyone hear a word they say. They don't know what's anyway what you play. [00:04:49] Cause we are finally free tonight. [00:04:59] Tonight we'll change our lives. It's so good to be by your side. We'll cry, we won't give up the fight. [00:05:12] We'll scream loud at the top of our lungs. And they'll think just cause we are nowhere. [00:05:47] I had a dream last night. We drove out to sea life, Las Vegas. [00:05:53] We locked ourselves in the bright light. [00:05:57] I wish you could have seen us begging for change to get home. [00:06:03] Or Ellie. San Francisco. [00:06:06] Let's put a ten on the high card. I spend the summer on the west coast. Down and to the light. There's a mouth in the pan. The place you're pointing at each other's bell crashed around you. [00:06:58] Sunsets never were so bright and the sky's never so blue. [00:07:04] You opened up into my arms and we laughed as a hell. Yeah. [00:07:11] I'll never go back to Georgia. [00:07:14] Not at least till I have to turn into the light. [00:07:24] 40 years back. Oh, my oscars. [00:07:29] Please don't tell me that I'm a dream. I wait all I ever wanted. [00:08:31] Another sunshine with you. If I go over when it is over, I'll take this carry sunrise. [00:08:43] Wake up when the pod is not around with me. Ocean, I'm going crack around you. [00:08:53] Something's never so bright and this guy's never sober. [00:08:59] You been dead into my arms. And we laughed as I hurt you. [00:09:05] I'll never go back to Georgia. [00:09:08] Not at least there's a place off Ocean Avenue where I used to sit and talk with you. We were both 16 and it felt so right. Sleeping all day, staying up all night. [00:09:27] Staying up all night. [00:09:34] There's a place on the corner Cherry street. We would walk on the beach in our bare feet. We were both 18 and it felt so right. Sleeping all day, staying up all night. [00:09:49] Staying up all night. [00:09:55] If I could find you now, things would get better. [00:10:01] We could leave this town and run forever. [00:10:19] There's a piece of you that's here with me. It's everywhere I go. It's everything I see. When I sleep, I dream and it gets me by. I can make believe that you're here tonight. [00:10:34] That you're here tonight. [00:10:40] If I could find you now, things would get better. [00:10:46] We could leave this down and run forever. [00:10:52] I don't know where your battle will be together. [00:10:58] Let your waves crash down on me and take me away. [00:11:21] I remember the look in your eyes when I told you that this was goodbye you were begging me not tonight, not here, not now we're looking up at the same night sky and keep pretending the sun will not rise we'll be together for one more night somewhere, somehow find you now things would get better we can leave this town and run forever I know somewhere, somewhere we'll be together let your weights drag down on me and take me away yeah, yes, jealousy turning saints into the sea swimming through sick lullabies joking on your alibis but it's just the price I pay destiny is calling me open up my eager eyes cause I, mister bright side coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine God I gotta be down because I want it all it started out with a kiss added it, end up like this it was only a kiss it was only a kiss now I'm falling asleep and she's calling a cab while he's having a smoke and she's taking a drive now they're going to bed and my stomach is sick and it's all in my head but she's touching his chest now he takes off her dress now let me go and I just can't look it's carrying me and taking control jealousy turning saints into the sea swimming through sac love choking on your outline but it's just a prize I paid destiny is calling me open up my eager eyes cause I'm mister brightside I'm coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine God I gotta be down because I want it all it started out with a kiss how did it end up like this? It was only a kiss it was only a kiss now I'm falling asleep and she's calling a cab while he's having a smoke and she's taking a drag now they're going to bed and my stomach is sick and it's all in my head but she's touching his chest now he takes off her dress now let me go cause I just can't look it's killing me that taking control jealousy turning things paper single bite joking on your album but it's just a price I think destiny is calling me open up my ego eyes cause I miss the bright side I never know why never. [00:16:42] When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band. [00:16:54] He said, son, when you grow up would you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned? [00:17:07] He said, will you defeat them? You demons and other non believers? The plans that they have made. [00:17:20] Because one day I'll leave you a fairy to lead you in the summer to join the black parade. [00:17:49] My father took me into the day. [00:17:54] Cause I want to fail. [00:18:28] Cause I get the feeling she's watching over me. And other times I feel like I should go. [00:18:38] Went through it all. The rise and fall to bodies in the streets. And when you're gone with what you want to know. We'll carry on. We'll carry on. And bury us in God, believe me. Your memory will carry us. [00:19:01] And what that sends you. Reel in from disarmated dreams. Yummy. And hate will kill us all. [00:19:18] So painted black. Take it back. Let's shout out loud and clear. Take fire to the end. We hear the call to carry on. We'll carry on. [00:20:05] You'll never make me. Because the world will never take my heart. Go and try. You'll never break me. We want it all. We want to play this. But I want to explain. I say I'm sorry. I'm gonna shape, I'm gonna shout. My scar, give a chair. We're all broken. Listen, hair. Because it's how we are. [00:20:27] I'm not a hero, just a fly. Let us say this song just a bit. I'm not a hero. [00:20:36] Shall we carry out? We'll carry out. [00:20:47] We carry.
